Movie night, pizza & staying on track
Movie night was Saturday at my cousin's house. After 4 weeks on the plan, this was my 1st night out where I wasn't fully in control of my food choices. However, I did try & prepare beforehand. Since I knew I'd be snacking there, I had a small chicken caesar salad wrap for dinner at home, leaving room for me to have some munchies later on. I brought some pretzels sticks and super yummy hummus and tried to stick to eating that (which wasn't too difficult since I LOVE the particular hummus I brought). I did indulge in some kettle corn though. But my biggest obstacle was the 2 pizzas they ordered for everyone. I'm happy to say though that I didn't have any, and really, It wasn't as difficult to resist as I thought it would be. Pizza is definitely one of my top 3 favorite foods & I could seriously eat it everyday and not get sick of it, but in the back of my head I thought about my goals & what I was trying to achieve. And it just didn't seem worth it. I honestly didn't feel deprived at all and for me, that was a real light bulb moment for me.
