My fail of a weekend in bullet form

  • Started Saturday am off weighing in with a 1.2 lb loss. If I hadn't gained last week I would be pretty psyched about this.

  • Adam's signing up at my gym (yay!) and we were planning on going when I got home from WW at 9:00 am but instead sat around all morning doing the whole "what do you want to do today?" "I dunno, what do you wanna do today?" "I dunno but I know I don't want to stay in the house all day." "Me neither." "So what do you wanna do?" "I dunno, something". Yeah we did that for 3 hours. Goodtimes.

  • Finally got our act together and ditched the gym idea for lunch at this trendy restaurant downtown. Made some not so good choices in the food dept. I'll only say there were lots of sweet potato fries & a big ol' chunk of fudge involved.

  • Dinner at Carrabba's later that night did not help my day of eating.

  • Neither did all the wine.

  • Or buttery popcorn with our movie.

  • Sunday we went to a St. Patrick's Day Parade [I know, a week late, so weird?]. And instead of freezing our arses off like the 1000's of other suckas families curbside, we decided to watch it from the comfort of a warm toasty restaurant at a table by the window. best.idea.ever.

  • Unfortunately this last minute "best.idea.ever" meant eating out & being unprepared at Margarita's, one of the most popular mexican restaurant chains in the area. [you know where I'm going with this]

  • Bowls upon bowls of warm chips filled our table.

  • I didn't pass on them. [and felt guilty after each bite but kept right on plucking out of said bowls]

  • I did however pass on the margarita. Adam didn't [busted!]

  • I tried to re-correct course by ordering a salad [dressing on the side obvs].

  • But it came in a tortilla bowl.

  • And I ate it.

  • With some sour cream.

  • And I felt bad about that too.

And then the weekend ended filled with memories of good times with friends & family all of which were followed by small bouts of disappointment with myself. And that sucks.
