Storyland

We did Storyland from 3-6 last night & then all day today. For those who have never been, they have a special where if you go after 3 you get in the next day free. So we took advantage of that. And honestly I'm glad we did b/c the park is a pretty good size and with the lines and whatnot, it's tough to do everything in one day.

Ava had a blast. We went on a ton of rides and she loved each & everyone of them. But the highlight of her day (or I should say LIFE) was meeting Cinderella. If you know Ava, you know she is obsessed with the Disney princesses. I have the cutest video that Adam shot of her running towards her and giving her a great big hug. I teared up. You could see how genuinely excited she was to see her. Makes me melt just thinking about it. We've also got a video of Ava up on stage during one of the shows they put on there. They had a knock of mermaid & prince that Ava thought were Ariel & Aladdin. So cute!

It was an awesome two days. We're back at our room and there is no sleep in sight for the little one. She must still be too wound up from today's events. I'm exhausted. We definitely got a bunch of walking in & the packed lunches at the park worked out great.

And as for dinner while we were up there, the 1st night we did D'Angelos where I got a chicken caesar wrap. We tried to head to a few of the local restaurants after storyland closed at 6:00 but apparently everyone else had the same idea & there were hour waits everywhere.

The next night we did The Red Fox Restaurant and that was delish! This was our cheat night. We were on vacation, we did a ton of walking and made healthy food choices at every other meal while we were away. We wanted to treat ourselves. It can be difficult to stick to your weight loss program if you feel deprived and we felt like we earned it.
So, Adam got steak and I tried to be semi good with scallops but they came with this incredible maple cream sauce that was to die for. Both came with rice & Adam's included a veggie. That was our big treat & it was so worth it!

Breakfast was also a treat but not in a bad way. We went to this small local place called Peaches that all the locals raved about. I can see why. It was great! We both got egg beater omelets with wheat toast. They were so yummy! Mine had peppers and Adam's had peppers, mushrooms & I think onion. Mmm. Ava got one banana pancake which was fluffy and super tasty (I tried a bite, I know).

So, all in all, the trip so far has been amazing!

We decided that tomorrow we're going to drive up Mt. Washington. We're so excited since neither of us have ever done it before & I hear it is breath taking! Can't wait.
