Anyone else all sorts of messed up from the time change?
[:::raising hand::: over here! over here!]

It's cool though b/c I'm loving the longer days! Another month or so will bring the warm weather, bbq'ing dinner out back after work, cold adult beverages, kids running around having a blast, fun neighbors, after dinner family walks around our development; everything I love about spring/summer. Now if I could only convince Ava that just b/c it's still light out, doesn't mean it isn't bedtime. Gotobedkid. [love you lovie!]

Ran today. Another week in the books. Only 2 more and I'll be a c25k graduate! [yay!]

But goodness, 7 weeks in and the runs just seem to be getting harder and harder. And I don't mean b/c of the time increases. All 3 runs this week were the same, 25 mins, and each time was worse than the last. I literally struggle through the entire thing.

Negative: It's an absolute horrendous 25 mins that I'm starting to dread.

Positive: It makes me even more proud that I was able to complete them.

I just wanna enjoy running! Hoping it'll change once I start running outside? Maybe? Anyone? Bueller?

Kim - I LOVE running and started with C25K. Honestly, if you are DREADING the run, I would repeat the previous weeks until you feel more comfortable with it - that's what I did, and it did me pretty good. You are still gaining fitness from the program even if you aren't ready for the 25 min run yet. We are human, and I fully believe that if it's done the right way, you can learn to LOVE running. (I HATED it till I was about 22, now I've been running for 6 years!)

Play around with the program, it's not gospel. But if you are dreading your workout, I would maybe do 1 day of a 25 min run, and use the other 2 to make comfortable intervals for yourself. If you need help, let me know!

Hey! Thanks! I read on the c25k forums that I should expect that it won't be easy and that I should move forward with the days/weeks anyways. Only repeat a week if you cannot complete the run. But like you said, it's not set in stone. So far I've been moving forward. I think the dread is more mental. :) Hope to love running like you some day though.
